The performance of a mobile air conditioning refrigeration system can be significantlyinfiuenced by its condenser thermal design. After analyzing the current development level ofmobile air conditioning condenser, we enhanced the thermal-hydraulic performance greatlyby the means of heat transfer augmentation and structure optimization. For the compactsurface design of condenser, the match of fan pressure and the mass flux is also consid-ered. Based on the theoretical analysis, a multi-path compact mobile condenser was suc-cessfully developed. The overall heat transfer coefficients was obviously improved while therefrigerant-side pressure drop was reduced. As the air-side pressure drop can be controlledat the original level, the original axial fan can be still used for the new type condenser. Thisresearch achievements have made contributions for national truck air conditioner condenserdevelopment.
